Nice 1 frederickj3 but I think your statements should be directed more at the televangelists… after all theyre the ones raking in MILLIONS A YEAR for spouting gibberish on TV instead of doing anything productive. Talk about the blind leading the blind! But after all ” why let facts get in the way of a good story when there’s money to be made!” Christianity really does have one of the greatest stories ever sold!

Funny stuff guys! Thanks for the laugh! Great entertainment for people who fancy themselves intelligent! If you can preach a good atheist sermon these days you can really rake in the bucks! Yes, you too can be a celebrity atheist if you follow the four horseman and learn to quote them properly with good rhetoric skills. Why let facts get in the way of a good story when there’s money to be made! Have a great day and make sure you’re ready for eternity when your life is through! (Call on Jesus!)

and strangely almost uncannily those that do have all the instruments can never detect that crap. Weird eh?

Bless you! The word “fact” has little value anymore whether it be among the religious community or the scientific community. All too often both sides exaggerate and manipulate what little evidence they have to support their world view. Religion is a poor substitute for a relationship with God and science can’t see beyond the end of it’s nose. There are indeed facts that remain undiscovered by the multitudes who lack the proper instruments to see and hear into the dimension of the spirit.

we’ve known all along that we don’t need them. In this internet age you can gather what ever forces together your skills of persuasion can muster. Guide and manage the skills of those to achieve mundane or magnificent goals. Barter trade borrow it’s all in the bag for you to aggregate and make shit happen. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.

He he, good stuff. You could do like a Colbert style show or something. Or maybe you could do a little more research into the word fact as you seemed to be confused by it’s meaning. Peace!

@adrianfi7 “When people stop believing in God they don´t believe in anything, they follow anyone” Wow! Untruer words haven’t been said before. When people believe in God, they will follow anyone who claims to be a messenger of God. will blow up themselves, will kill others.

It´s simple: Politicians have allied with bankers to bankrupt all nations in order to gain total control, they do not make anything they are unproductive, so before everybody figures out we don´t really need them they are going to make slaves out of all of us, black, white, brown, female or male. They don´t care about you and me they don´t care about no one but them selfs and their life of excess. When people stop believing in God they don´t believe in anything, they follow anyone.

    “…there are single celled animals”

Strictly, no there aren’t. There are no single celled organisms in Animalia.

You’re probably right; and congratulations for it.

    You must be proud.

I am fairly confident most people do not comment nor read comments…let alone scroll down to do so. And 2 people chose to contradict you. May be you should fast forward and listen.

It is a fact that God created the heavens and earth. It is a fact that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. It is a fact that He arose from the dead after paying the price for our sins by vicarious sacrifice. It is a fact that there is a literal heaven and a literal hell that will last for eternity. It is a fact that only by faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and confession of His Lordship can one be saved from eternal damnation. These are facts and you must choose or be eternally lost.

Well it was meant to annoy you, not to be a literary piece demonstrating sarcasm. “fairly confident”? You already have 2 people voting against your opinion.

Your sarcasm here is kind of annoying. It’s not poignant or compelling, like sarcasm is supposed to be.

And I’m fairly confident that I’m not the first person to find the cadence of Dennett’s speech distracting.

RCRhythm, you must be really, really smart. For the complexity of the subject, his speed of speaking was just fine for me. But then I must be really stupid.

@waterfjord Why don’t you become as knowledgeable as him in the subject of your choice, write 10/15 books on the topic, give several lectures, be an authority, upload the videos on youtube, have thousands of hits, and show Mr. Dan Dennett how not to say “ugh ugh ugh” in a speech?

Animal sacrifice does not mean meat-eating and nothing to do with vegetarian. It means sacrificing for god to get something in return, certainly immoral at least in the western counties and say modern indian society. Someone commented above that morality is relative that’s why i asked the question. If it is relative, then would you accept is as a cultural tradition, however reprehensible?

Atheists seldom have gurus. God is not in any way the most important invention of mankind.

Animal sacrifice is the norm in every country in the world. Or did I miss a vegetarian nation?

I just read a quote that reminded me of your comment. It’s by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

“Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius.”
